grossness and whining

Sometimes, I hate being a girl. Like today. I hate having my period. And it’s not just because I want to be pregnant. I’ve never liked it. I’ve read about women who embrace it – CRAP is all I have to say. What woman in her right mind embraces peering into a bloody toilet bowl each month? What woman enjoys the cramps? Who enjoys hoping that they don’t bleed through a tampon or pad? It sucks.

And then my husband complains about having to go get some lousy blood drawn. I don’t have much sympathy; I had to go too.

Tomorrow will be better. The cramps will go away. The bleeding will lessen. But then I have to have a vaginal u/s while on my period? WHY? I know the RE must see worse, but I don’t. I don’t really want anyone peering up my bloody vagina.

*sigh*

  7. I remember when I was in fifth grade sex ed – where they separated all the girls from the boys to tell us about mestruation. They gave us a little booklet called “Growing Up and Liking It”. You know that there’s NO WAY a woman wrote that.
