IUI #1 down

My doctor is out of town, so I had a different doctor today. The IUI was (again) extremely difficult. He changed catheters, reviewed my chart, stopped and started several times.

It wasn’t quite painful, but very very uncomfortable. He said to anticipate that tomorrow’s IUI may be even more difficult because it will occur after ovulation.

I guess the cervical dilation didn’t help much.

The sperm…count was normal, motility was low, and morphology was very low again.

If I get pregnant this cycle, we decided this infertility thing is all my fault. If I don’t, all J’s fault. I like how we can turn gray into black and white.

  1. Hey Larissa

All I can say is I 100% know how you feel about all that goes with infertility. I hope your feeling better! I know how hard the down times can be.

Yeah for going through your 1st IUI this cycle. Hopefully tommorows ins’t so bad with the cervix. Then at least you will be done and won’t have to go to the dr.’s for 2 whole weeks.

    Thinking of you!

  2. Hope tomorrow’s IUI will not be as uncomfortable. Wishing you the best with this cycle!

  3. I hope that the battle with the cervix leads to positive results. Good luck sending the reinforcements in. I hope things turn around for you in this cycle.

    You’re in my thoughts.

{{hugs}} but I wish I could give you a real one.

  4. Good luck to you Mrs. Hope.

  5. you’re in my thoughts and prayers…

  6. Hi Larissa,
I don’t know you but I wish you the best with this IUI. We seem to be on the same exact cycle, I was IUI’d and dildocammed on the 21st and 24th. Try # 3. It’s all my man’s fault. Best to blame him I think.
    Look forward to your update…

  7. Sounds like you had my old RE. Sorry that the IUIs continue to be such a pain. I hope it works this time.
