post-transfer

Transfer is finished.

It went pretty smoothly – it only took him about 3-4 attempts to get in.

I was really anxious. He was almost an hour late, and they had me in stirrups waiting for 20 minutes. I had to pee so badly, and I was very uncomfortable. He wasn’t very happy with my lack of emotion or that I wasn’t overjoyed that he didn’t have to take drastic measures to deal with my cervix.

They put back 2 lovely eight celled embryos. They are watching the rest, but none are very good quality at this point.

Grow, babies, grow.

  1. I am so glad transfer went smoothly. I was hoping that would be the case. Good luck surviving the 2ww.

  2. Yes, little embryos…grow, babies, grow! I am glad to hear that it went relatively well this time. Here’s hoping your 2 ww goes quickly!

  3. Hooray!

    Hoping for only good things.

  4. oh, yes, yes…GROW, babies, GROW!!!!

  5. Um, *he* wasn’t happy with *your* lack of emotion??

Perhaps it’s just that I’m in a grumpy mood with doctors right now anyway, but after you’ve spent weeks shooting yourself full of hormones, having surgery to have eggs retrieved and then going through a transfer that you had every right and reason to be anxious about – not to mention the fact that he was an hour late to said transfer – I’m wondering where, exactly, he gets off on judging you for your emotions or lack thereof?

Moving beyond that, I’m glad you had two lovely 8-cells to put back. I’m praying they stick!
