back to reality

So, while 50% is far, far better than 5%, the relief from that change is waning. Don’t get me wrong, I am still hoping away. But I’ve pretty much come back to “neutral”.

It’s going to be a long couple of weeks. And I suspect there are going to be ups and downs that I haven’t even thought of yet.

My new plan…see if my doctor will do an early u/s this week. I know we won’t be able to see a heartbeat yet, but by Thursday or Friday, we should be able to see a gestational sac. Hopefully in the right place, and somewhere near the right size. It’s not something he typically does, but I don’t think he sees many women with betas this low that actually double, either.

  1. I’d ask for whatever you need to get through this. No harm in asking.

  3. praying that he’ll understand the fears and worries you have at the moment and will give you the u/s.

  5. Sorry for all that you’re going through. I hope they will be able to do an u/s. Thinking of you.

  6. I don’t think your request is unreasonable. Hopefully he will see how much an u/s will help you and go for it. Sending you hugs.

  7. Mrs. Hope,
    Hang in there honey. I really like your doc’s theory that you’re a late implanter. And asking for an u/s sounds like a great idea to me – seeing that the sac is in the right place would surely help you to feel better. Hoping that embryo sticks and grows. I so wish this was all easier for you. It’s not supposed to be so hard!

  8. What a tough time you’re having! Take care.

  9. having an u/s is a stellar idea. It’ll be good to see SOMETHING. I hope you see what your heart desires.

  10. An ultrasound sounds like a good idea and I’m sure your Dr will give you one with no problems {{HUGS}}
