and now we wait

Transfer went beautifully. We had a back-up plan; we didn’t even have to consider using it. The catheter went right in, and right to the correct position – no wrangling, bending, twisting, or other maneuvers required.

We have 2 8-celled beginning-to-compact embryos on board. The embryologist and my doctor both called them “textbook”. They are “Grade 1”, which is the highest grade my clinic gives. The other 4 are still plugging away; 3 were 8 cells yesterday, one was 6. The embryologist seemed optimistic that we might have something to freeze, but I’m not getting ahead of myself yet.

I just want at least one of the beauties in my uterus to stick around for the long haul.
