good to go

So my doctor was right. The cysts had shrunk significantly, to 6mm and 7mm respectively. So I rushed home and “eagerly” did my first lupron injection for this cycle.

Thalia and Artblog asked about the “last cycle” comment. The famous Colorado clinic would allow me to do one more cycle with my uterus – doing the laminaria placement now (3-4 weeks prior to transfer). If the cycle failed, they’d be done with my crooked cervix and would recommend using a gestational carrier.

But, thank goodness, I don’t live in Colorado. And my doctor isn’t ready to give up on this crazy cervix of mine. I keep reminding myself that this is only the 2nd cycle we are doing this way – sans laminaria torture but still doing something about the cervix.

If you have a chance, send some positive thoughts M’s way. She’s had a really rough go of it and has another appointment today.

  1. Good Luck! I hope it is your last cycle because you are good and preggers in a few weeks!

  2. Even though your doctor has a different opinion, just knowing the Colorado doctor’s opinion seems unsettling to me.

  3. Good luck with your cycle!

  4. Nice to have some company! I hope this is it, for both of us!

  5. Yes! Something went very right. I am hopeful the ball will keep rolling that direction.

Maybe I’m too much of a cynic, but the CO clinic opinion makes me envision of a talented, but yet egotistical RE that wants to keep their success rates as high as possible, even at the cost of denying you a very possible pregnancy because it might take more than 3 tries.

I’m so glad you feel comfortable with your RE. I’m so glad he doesn’t seem to care about anything but making your dream come true by trying all possible options before moving on to something else.

You are right where you need to be, doing just what you should be doing. I am very hopeful.

  6. woohoo! so glad you got the green light!
