surgery

Well, there are adhesions in my uterus. That’s the word from my doctor via the most wonderful surgery scheduler in the world (she’s been at the clinic in different capacities since early in my quest for BabyHope). He apparently said they aren’t “too bad”, but definitely are there, and he’ll have to attempt to clear whatever is blocking the tube, too. And yes, she called me on Sunday.

The even better part, assuming we can wrangle some amazing friends into watching BabyHope for my third surgery of the year, is that there was a cancellation for Thursday of this week. That’s a heck of a lot sooner than the date she originally quoted me, and it’s a Thursday, so Mr. Hope can take off 2 days and be able to help me out for 4 because of the weekend. Oh, and it will be a lap and hysteroscopy.

Pre-op on Tuesday. I hope the surgery goes okay (and that it does get scheduled like she plans). I hope the scarring isn’t horrible, I hope this is just a little blip on the radar. I’m currently having fears of Asherman’s that I’m hoping are unwarranted.

Apparently, my uterus was jealous of all the attention my cervix used to garner.

  1. I am sorry to hear this. I will be thinking good thoughts for you.

  2. I’m glad your doctor looked at the films and made some decisions. I hope you can get in on Thursday. I hope NOT on Asherman’s…how will they make that determination? Will they leave a balloon in? Geez, it NEVER ENDS does it??
Wishing you an easy procedure and a speedy recovery.

  3. I’m so sorry. This totally sucks.

Thinking of you and hoping that you can finally finish this out sooner rather than later.

  4. Hope everything goes well!

  5. As hard as this is, I’m glad there is a definite reason for your latest trouble and will pray that your doctor will be successful in clearing your uterus so your next little blasts can adher and grow into nice cuddly babies!

  6. I’m glad to hear the problem will be tackled head-on. I’m sorry that means another surgery.
I hope it goes very well.

  7. I’m so sorry. I hope that the surgery goes well, and that the next transfer is successful.
